Summary

FastMD is local by default. It has no account, advertising, analytics, telemetry, remote logging, or background upload. Your Markdown documents remain on your Mac unless you explicitly choose to publish a preview through Cloudflare Drop.

Information stored on your Mac

FastMD stores only app settings needed for its features, including the last window frame and security-scoped bookmarks for folders you explicitly authorize. Document contents and exported files remain in locations you choose. FastMD does not send these settings to the developer.

Optional Cloudflare Drop publishing

When you choose Publish Preview via Cloudflare Drop…, FastMD first asks for confirmation. If you continue, the app sends an HTML snapshot of the current Markdown document and readable local resources explicitly referenced by that document to Cloudflare. Cloudflare creates a temporary, publicly accessible workers.dev link.

This optional transfer is used only to provide the publishing feature. FastMD does not link the uploaded content to an account or use it for tracking, advertising, or analytics. Do not publish confidential, personal, or third-party material unless you have permission to make it public.

Cloudflare may process uploaded content, IP addresses, service logs, cookies, and related technical information under its Privacy Policy and Terms. The developer does not control Cloudflare’s retention or processing. If you do not use this feature, FastMD makes no app-initiated network request.

Quick Look and local files

The bundled Quick Look extension is sandboxed and read-only. It does not have network access. FastMD requests user-selected file or folder access only for opening and saving documents, displaying referenced local resources, showing same-folder files, and following external saves.

Tracking and third-party SDKs

FastMD does not track you and contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.

Your choices

  • Decline folder access; the document remains usable, while folder-dependent features may be limited.
  • Do not use Cloudflare publishing; no document content is transmitted by FastMD.
  • Remove local settings by uninstalling the app and deleting its app container in macOS.
  • A temporary Cloudflare deployment may expire automatically. FastMD cannot guarantee immediate deletion from Cloudflare after publishing.

“快速查看”和本地文件

追踪与第三方 SDK

FastMD 不会追踪你，也不包含广告、分析或追踪 SDK。

你的选择

  • 你可以拒绝文件夹访问；文档仍可使用，但依赖文件夹的功能可能受限。
  • 你可以不使用 Cloudflare 发布；FastMD 不会传输文档内容。
  • 你可以卸载应用并删除其 macOS App 容器，以移除本机设置。
  • 临时 Cloudflare 部署可能自动过期；发布后，FastMD 无法保证 Cloudflare 会立即删除内容。
